Preparation of cross linked PVA with MA,EDTA,and a mixture of MA/EDTA for water uptake membranes at different pH

Poly (viny1 alcohol) (PVA) of 72000 g mol -1 molar mass was cross linked through cold cast esterification with different % MA and EDTA (10 , 20 30 ), two mixture l (20 %/5% 20%/10% .Molecular structures the produced membranes were identified by FTIR spectral analysis .Mechanical measurements showed that, PVA mol% gave higher tensile strength value, while 30mol% elongation value at break.Water swollen studied ambient conditions pH solutions (4, 5, 6, and7) .Water .Maximum swelling percent (Sw%) equilibrium pH7 for all this decreases as decreased.Relation between maximum Sw% link density (?c) obtained mathematically to prove that decrease in is due increase ?c.
